Christine Wenger

Christine Wenger worked in the criminal justice field for more years than she cares to remember! While working full time, Christine received a dual master's degree in Probation and Parole Studies and Sociology from Fordham University.  The knowledge gained from way too many years in night school secretly prepared her for what she loves to do most– writing romances and cozy mysteries. Christine’s first book, THE LADY AND THE COWBOY, a short, western historical, was written for beginning adult readers, which she sold to Laubach Literacy. In 1998, it was chosen by the Publishers Liaison Committee of the Public Library Association's Adult Lifelong Learning Section as one of the "Top Titles for Adult New Readers." Since then, Christine has written eight books (and counting!) for Harlequin’s Special Edition line. She loves writing about cowboys out west and the southwest, far away from New York State where she currently calls home.2013 was a big year for Christine – she was able to use her love of law enforcement to pen a fun new COZY MYSTERY “comfort food” series set in a small-town 1950’s diner, THE SILVER BULLET. The first book, DO OR DINER, from Penguin/Obsidian books was released in 2013.  A second book in the series, A SECOND HELPING OF MURDER, in 2014, and a third, DINERS, DRIVE-INS AND DEATH, is scheduled for January, 2015.JUST FOR FUN, Chris enjoys watching professional bull riding and rodeo with her favorite cowboy, her husband Jim. We put on our cowboy regalia and have traveled to events in Las Vegas, Florida, Connecticut, and other states. As a result of our travels, she has met many genuine, personable and polite cowboys, a great inspiration for her westerns! And, of course, she has to do research for her comfort food diner series which takes her to diners all over the U.S.
