Laurie Wetzel

Laurie Wetzel always loved writing, but that same love made her an easy target growing up. She walked away from her passion at the young age of eleven. It wasn’t until a New Year’s Resolution in 2011 that she finally found the courage to put down a story that had been hijacking her dreams. She showed the story to her husband and he gave her the words she needed to hear: This is what you need to be doing. In 2014 Laurie was just a few short months away from publishing her first novel and achieving her dreams when she had her own real-life plot twist. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. With the help of her family, friends, and publisher, Laurie was still able to publish on time while recovering. She has since gone on to publish the second book in that series and work on many others.When she isn’t writing, Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband and young sons, getting lost in a great book, and binge watching Netflix.
